Im Rahmen der Exzellenzinitiative ist am Thomas-Institut des Philosophischen Seminars der Philosophischen Fakultät der Universität zu Köln  zum 01.04.2013, zunächst für die Dauer von sechs Jahren, eine Juniorprofessur W 1 für Philosophie des Mittelalters Schwerpunkt: arabische und jüdische Philosophie mit Tenure-Option zu besetzen.
